William Lee, Founder

William Lee, who goes by the stage name Will Lee, has been very active in the local area as an entertainer for nearly 30 years. These areas of entertainment run the full gamut of hundreds of weddings, restaurants, nightclubs, Jazz festivals, gospel concerts, etc. He was first introduced to the business through his famous uncle, the Legendary Pervis Lee, with whom he had a chance to tour. He also toured with others, including the great entertainment band, Liquid Pleasure. Approximately 10 years ago, he realized his true passion in music when he was asked to volunteer and perform at some nursing facilities. This changed his whole outlook on life. He fell in love, not just with music, but with the effect of music. It was astonishing! It was hard to put into words the reactions of the residents as well as the caregivers.

He received so much praise and gratitude from so many directors. They spoke of how so many residents who barely moved began to dance in their chairs. They noticed those who never spoke even began to sing. Little did he know this was therapeutic music even back then. Today, we name it “Music Therapy.” Call it music therapy for or entertainment for others, it was that Mr. Lee did not want to deprive these elderly of. So he continued to volunteer his time to make them happy and make himself happy as well. This was a labor of love, so to speak. The rest is history. His goal was to do this on a full-time basis, so someone suggested applying for non-profit status to help him financially with this endeavor.

The federal government agreed and allowed for tax-deductible relief for his donors to his cause. Since applying, he has received support from many influential people. His board of Directors consists of a N.C. House Representative, a CMPD employee, a Mecklenburg Park and Rec representative, a McDonald franchise owner, as well as a Lake Norman county official.

Will is a married father of five with two recent grandsons.
